So i recently did CM exp the butler path and at the end chest i received a bag of gold and a bag of gems (awesome luck is awesome). Anyways i couldn’t use the bag of gold in the mystic forge, and so i opened it and only got 4 copper… Not sure if it’s intended or should be named bag of disappointment or bag of coins.

i don’t know maybe something better than 4 copper… It does say a bag of “gold” and gold isn’t copper nor did the bag look like it was made of gold.

I had the same thing happen to me. Found a bag of gold, I was like "wow nice never seen that object, let’s open it ! "

Sure I was not expecting to get one gold, but a least one or two silver. What’s the point of having an object that takes inventory space if it is to get much less than a regular mob drop in copper. Sounds like -yet another- bug to me.

I think its just a case of unfortunate naming… how would you call a wallet if the word did not exist? since gold is the top currency a wallet becomes a “bag of gold”.

If instead of “bag of gold”, they named it “bag of money” it would not cause the disappointment.

I too was teased by the “bag of gold” xD at least its a funny story to tell, lol.

I got one too from a dungeon run a couple days ago. Was expecting like a couple of silver but got like 3 copper. Sadface.

Maybe they were meant for April fools day.

hahahaha this is classic. I remember the day when I first picked up one of these and I thought …. “SCORED!”

A quick double click later and I was set back to reality.

4 copper! While it’s nice to have this in the loot table (and that’s being generous) I would prefer the name of it changed to something more appropriate.

“Bag of Coins” or “Light sack of coppers” would be more accurate.. perhaps?

Yeah this one gave me mix bag of emotions. 1st I was stoked..“Sweet bag of gold!”…then “What the fudge?”……then “lol …I fell for it…that was a pretty good one”

So after talking with a friend i have an educated guess as to why the money is terrible from the bags. So around the start of the game my friend told me he got two of those bags from monster drops. Now I’m only guessing but i think it has a low copper amount to possibly stop bots from killing monsters that drop these bags and making easy money(again just a guess). I’d love to see these moved to maybe a dungeon loot/chest table since bots can’t farm dungeons(yet/possibly/to my knowledge) and make it increase the gold/currency amount from the bags of gold(might need this moved to dungeon section).

I got mine from a chest in a Dungeon.
If they drop from monsters I think it’s a pretty rare loot. And seeing what it contains I’m glad it is. I mean seriously, the grey trophies junk give more money than this kitten. And monsters can loot up to 80 copper.

No need to have a bag, just add 3 copper to the loot, thank you very much.

Imho it is a bug, or maybe it’s an old object they forgot to remove from the game. It has really no reason to exist otherwise. Unless it is a sadistic developer who created it “You think you actually droped something good? … Nope! Gotcha!” XD

Lol this happened to me last night. Bag of gold?! Checks if it is used in Mystic Forge and finds out it isn’t Ok. Let’s open it then and get some money! Obtains 4 copper Aww…

Everyone was excited. It was a Bag of GOLD.
And inside? 4 copper.

I had these several times already. Best I got was 5 copper lol.

I’ve been storing these in bank, hoping they patch them to actually drop gold.

Better thing to call it would be a “coin purse”.
