I ask this because last time I bought them via TP (not via the blue icon under bank UI itself). I got the items then, that i needed to doubleclick, to expand the bank. And the thing was I already reached the limit and the purchase was for nothing. Atm I have 11 or 12 tabs (would have to count again to be sure).
Atm i can buy it in TP, it doesnt say ‘you have reached your limit’ like for collection expander and/or home ore nodes. But in the bank itself, the upgrade icon is gone. Anybody can enlighten, if i should buy them or not?

Always buy bank tabs from the Bank UI. The Gem Store doesn’t track how many tabs you have, it will let you buy 100 of them if you want to — but the maximum you can USE is 11 (plus the 1 you start with, for a total of 12).
I got 12 bank tabs, and there’s no Gem ‘buy more’ icon at the bottom, so yep i reached the limit. Thanks for confirming though, just don’t want to miss a sale

There is data mining evidence (months back when we only had like 8 slots I believe — instead of the 12 we currently have, proof they will likely continually raise the cap) of there being 15 bank slots we can use.
However, when they released the limit they raised it to 12 instead of 15. So we know eventually we will have 15 bank slots, most likely a lot more.
Whether or not it is safe or smart to buy past 12 currently and hold onto them for when they raise the limit or not, is anyone’s guess. (A friend of mine has 12 bank slots, and bought 3 more bank expanders on sale to be ready for when they raise the cap.)
