Best designed outfit to date! However..
Generally, I think people overact about those small clipping issues. GW is really the only community so sensitive toward clipping. You can find this in almost every game because it is very hard to fix. Anyway, I don’t even see clipping as a problem, I just ignore it and think it’s a part of games since the first games with polygons appeared.
Also the stuff like the ‘new human female walking animation’ – I watched a video and haven’t even noticed a differfence, even after watching it several times and reading a description.
Really, just stop with all the complaining and enjoy the awesome armor skins we receive from Anet.
‘would of been’ —> wrong
I freaked out when I saw that set on Dulfy,I was so happy until I realized it was a outfit…Now THAT is a letdown.
I hate outfits because there is no variety if you see someone using it too, people always use the same dyes too (Abyss,Celestial…) and the worst part about that outfit: Helmet. I hate helmets,I didn’t created a character with a cool hair to hide it under a helmet.
Also,I think ArenaNet should start selling gem armors by parts instead of only a full set.
I would gladly pay 250 gems for a Phalanx Boots for example, but I’ll not pay 800 gems for a full Phalanx set if I don’t care about the gloves, shoulders, etc…
If Gem Store is the only way they are adding new things into the game,at least make it better… ;_;

I made a post on the Game Bugs Forum and I really don’t think it is a “small clipping issue” as you can see on my screenshots. And this issue is very easy to fix, they could remove the neck ornament or even make it part of the helmet so when you turn the helmet off it disappears too.

This is easy to fix?
Remove the neck ornament: it’s already been sold to who knows how many people. Many of them either like the collar or are not bothered by it. Remove the collar and annoy all those people? Not likely to happen.
Make the collar part of the helmet: this would require a complete redesign of the costume. Or a complete redesign of the toggle to add the collar to the toggle. Either way, this is not an easy fix. Complete redesigns are never an easy fix.

It’s very easy to say to just ignore this, because really? This is something they might want to have considered when initially designing this outfit. And given the large number of hairstyles this happens with, it makes it look like little to no thought about this as a potential problem was given in the design phase. Now something I bought to be used on 4-5 low-level characters can now only be used on… 2 of my level 80s. Because they’re the only ones who have hairstyles that don’t clip with this.

Not everybody has long hair and the reason why they probably made a helm was because people really are that annoyed as they claim to be they can either get shorter hair, wear the helm or not buy the outfit.
Clipping isn’t going to go away, you might as well find outfits that minimize it.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.

Complaining? Is that a joke? It’s almost like you read the first few lines of my post, and ignored the couple paragraphs praising the new outfit. And where, anywhere, did I mention anything regarding female walking animations. Perhaps instead of urging others not to “complain”, you should not be so overly defensive.
And sorry, but the clipping is in fact an issue. Most female human characters I’ve seen have longer hair. The collar looks absolutely ridiculous with it. You say it’s not easy to “fix”, but that’s just it. It should have been thought of during design. Weapon clipping is understandable. But the hair among other things is extremely blatant and should have been addressed during design, as I said, because unlike weapons, creating an armour set that doesn’t clip with already existing character models should have been looked at, as that’s part of the job. It’s absolutely not difficult to have made that collar design work with pretty much every longer hairstyle simply by not poofing out the back side. Many variations could have been done. Easily. I believe it was just overlooked. Furthermore, if nobody “complained”, as you put it, then anet wouldn’t be aware that everyone finds it to be an issue. Do you think a company bases it’s design decisions based of 2 or 3 posts? Of course not. More people discussing it means more weight. More people talking about it means anet artists design items with this in mind BEFORE they get released.
