i don’t really understand OP’s question. basically you make gold by selling things. so other methods other than selling them in order to gain gold is not known.

crafting i.e. can you make more profit out of the mat by crafting it into something else?
I’ll assume T6 basic (gossamer, orichalcum, hardened, ancient).
I usually consume these by making crafting components. you usually make about 20% more by selling what you craft than selling the material. don’t make too many of one thing: T6 I only make about 10 of each at a time or they never sell.
If you’re talking T6 fine (vial of powerful blood, vicious claw, etc.), I would suggest to craft inscriptions/insignia. less profitable than the components, but still better than just selling it.
If T6 rare (charged lodestone, molten lodestone, etc.), I would suggest crafting superior runes/sigils. same as fine: less profitable than components, but still better than just selling it.
other alternatives include using them in some mystic forge recipes that convert SP to gold. I did one recently that had a decent conversion (about 2.5g/SP), but required 250 vicious claw and 250 powerful blood, so it would of been nice to have already had those instead of buying them.

I’d say look very closely at the crafting component prices rather than end products.
I know at one point Ancient Longbow Staves were a VERY high profit item, for example.
