As the title suggests I have a mini complaint/curiosity about BLSK’s..

Everyone I have spoken to (mainly friends) has acquired at least one of these through completing dailies/map completions etc etc.. I however have received the grand sum of: Zero..!

Has anyone else had this issue? Or is it just me?

I know this isn’t a big problem: Not game breaking or debilitating, but it is fairly annoying..

I’ve had 2 since release, maybe missed a few daily’s , RNG i guess, or maybe it’s based off something else (amount of gold accumulated during the day?), would be better if they did set daily’s, so for instance you know if you do a daily on Saturday, you would get a BLSK, or Sunday BLCK.

Small sample size and bad luck.

Keep in mind that number of hours played has very little to do with it since the primary way of getting them is through dailies.

I’ve had 6, though I’m perhaps a bad case study since I always had more BL keys than chests until they nerfed the chance of getting a key out of a chest in the update they made the tonics mystery tonics. Before that I had a bout a 90% return rate of a key from a chest.

According to the wiki (with admittedly a small sample size), the chance of getting a BL Sal kit is about 3.6% (at the time of this writing).

If that rate is close to correct and if you did the ~135 dailies every day since head start, your “expected” number of received kits is only 4.6. The chance of getting 0 is (1-3.6%)^135, or about 0.7%. So, it’s unlikely that anyone specific will get 0 BL kits, but out of every 100,000 people playing, we should “expect” about 700 of them to suffer this.

I don’t know if the dailies give them but I think I got mine from black lion chests

Yes, daily give them, I’ve got 1 from daily and 1 from a BL Chest.

PS: I missed only 4 dailies after launch.

Yes, def RNG i’ve recieved 2 from daily in 2 days and have a few from launch which i can’t recall getting, but prior i haven’t gotten any.

I’ve been playing for 275hours and i received 3 already… Dind’t knew this was rare to get.
