I’ve just been discussing the idea with my guildmates regarding the two sets of skins going away, the Sclerite and Winter’s, which were obtainable via Black Lion Trading Specialist using scraps/tickets.

We thought that the Winter’s skins didn’t actually fit any armour that is available in the game and so an idea has come to our mind now: what if you guys, ANet, introduced armour sets thematically appropriate to the weapon skins, and they would also be obtainable using scraps/tickets?

I think it would solve both the issue of some of the weapon skins that don’t match any armour sets as well as, generally speaking, lack of variety of armour skins in the game. Instead of adding most of the armour skins via gemstore, it would be nice and refersing to see some of them added via Black Lion Specialist.

I’d love to hear what you guys have to say. Just imagine, a Winter’s armour set that would look just epic if it had the snow flakes and frost effects of the Winter’s weapons.

I’d love a snowy winter style armour, or just frosty in general. I’m pretty much over fire. An armour style for each Black Lion weapon would be great.

I’d imagine a Black Lion armour would still have some sort connection to the shop, if ever implemented.

Precisely. I believe that armour sets with the weapon effects, e.g. those Winter’s or Fused or Dreamthistle effects, would look epikittenerally! Just try to image it!
