Q:
Black Lion Trading Company CEO Complaint
It’s also very strange how selective these highway bandits operate: they manage to intercept all the mail that the BLTC is sending to me but they seemingly let the courier pass who is carrying my gold to the BLTC.
I think someone at the BLTC must be in cahoots with these bandits – what other explanation is there?!
Your right… I smell a SEC investigation on the horizon for the BLTC.
It would be pretty awesome if the big bad in GW2 turned out to be the BLTC (ala eastern india trading company in some movies) tugging the strings of war to profit from all the sales taxes and fees.
How cool would it be if there were a Dynamic Event at the BLTC Headquarter’s were the highwaymen had put up a seige and were trying to overrun the place.
If the seige succeded there would be no TP transactions for an hour or so for everyone. If the seige was defeated then those who participated got a bag of gems, or no TP fee’s for a day or just something relating to the TP. A seige once a week would be awesome.
Mess with a players ability to make money and I am betting people would come out of the wood works to take that seige down.
I second this notion.
NEWS FLASH ! ! ! !
Evon Gnashblade indicted today on Profiteering charges stemming from a SEC investigation. Evon’s reply to these charges:
“I aim to flank, encircle, and eliminate the competition!” & "I intend to dominate the marketing battlefield "
Guess he isn’t denying anything… Rumor has it that he is also about to be brought up on charges of treason for colluding with the highwaymen whom he has said in the past plague his routes and is the main reason why he only allows you to pick up your traded goods in town. When we at cnn confronted evon with his past statement of:
“I have trustworthy traders throughout Tyria”
Evon refused to comment on the above statement stating his lawyer had advised him not to.
This why we can’t be too tied to the black lion trading company!
We need to trade and barter more, in fact, “more people should learn how to bargain”.
Greetings and thank you for your feedback. I understand the concern and the desire to get your profits and items in a timely manner. Consequently, we now offer the option to purchase a portable BLTC summoner. Simply activate this at any location in Tyria or the Mists, and you can access our services anytime you like! This exemplifies our commitment to quality service, at a price.
I would like to see how much income the Black Lion Trading Company makes in listing and success fees, what their expendetures are, and how much is pure profit.
Now, I get that upkeep of pigeons would be quite expensive, plus a few would go missing from time to time. They probably have to be fed a very particular type of grain so they need to employ level 400 chefs. plus there’s training, insurance, and superannuation. The cost of teaching those pigeons to swim must be enormous. That’s the high level of quality of service we’re paying for. But with all the trading going on, at 15% a pop, I want to know just who is profiting from the war, and what that money is being spent on.

I would very much like to invest in this company.
There are black lion traders in every zone that I’ve been to. You don’t need to go to a major city to access your ill-gotten gains.
Granted, I’m not 80 yet. However, I can clearly see on the wiki that there’s a black lion trader in cursed shore (can’t tell from the wiki on other high-level maps), so I’m guessing that the pattern continues and you’re just not very observant.
I sure hope you are on the one of the unOfficial roleplaying servers: Tarnished Coast in North America.
