When setting the filter of the trading post to upgrade components and weapons you end up with upgrade components which do no fit in weapons.
Basicly rendering the filter useless.

You for example end up with upgrade components for rings and amulets, which arent really considered weapons.

I can second this. I was looking for new sigils yesterday, but all that came up for weapon upgrades were jeweler made upgrade components.

Currently no way to search for the weapons upgrades category specifically.

There seem to be a few types of items that are categorized properly on this. The sigils only show up when the sub-category is set to ‘All’. Food also only shows up when the sub-category for ‘Consumables’ is set to ‘All’ – setting it to ‘Food’ shows only drinks.

Also, since I needed to search through all of the consumable items to find food to buy I had to go through a lot of items listed with 0 available. Checking “Show only available” did not remove them from the list.

BUMP — When you select “Upgrade Component” and drop down “Weapon”, none of the sigils appear in the listing. Conversely, when you sort by the drop down “Armor” it works perfectly. The only way to see sigils is to select “All” and it gets very time consuming to page through all the upgrades when you really just want to upgrade your weapons, it’s pages and pages and pages of armor upgrades mixed in. Thanks for looking in to this as I would think upgrade components are widely searched items.
In addition, the “Consumable” drop down,
Food", does not show you any food, as the post above states.

Yes I think the GW2 implementation for upgrade search is either buggy or incomplete. Here is why, first login to the web version of the trading post:

To just view sigils, use subtype=3 instead, like so (copy and paste the url on the same browser window that you used to login if it doesn’t work for you):

subtype=0 for jewels (wrongly labelled as “Weapon”), subtype=2 for runes (labelled as “Armor”).

Unfortunately subtype=3 is not selectable in the upgrade search subcategory field at this time.

I tried different types and subtypes and found some interesting filters that have not been implemented in the page.
