I bought two Box’s of Berserker’s Draconic Armor, which is listed on the trade post for a little over 6 gold. After buying the box sets, I opened them, and got two full sets of Berserker’s Gladiator Armor… So basically I got screwed out of 12 gold, and ArenaNet doesn’t seem to want to answer my refund requests. I have both sets listed on my transactions list, and I’m sure I’m not the only one who got ripped off by this. I worked hard for that gold and I really wish I could have a fair refund for either getting the items I purchased, or the gold back. I was hoping I could find some insight on what exactly I should do through the forums. Please, any feed back would be greatly appreciated.

It’s been posted before that this happens with that specific box set. And Anet doesn’t refund purchases from the TP.

That sucks. If it says what it does, then it should be in their definitely.

Well, It’s not posted when people purchase the box set, and I don’t really see where Anet specifically says anything about this particular box set. It is a bug, and it is being exploited. Therefore, Anet should release some sort of refund for people who got scammed out of their hard earned money.

Without trying to sound rude, you might should have realized that 6g for a full set of Draconic was way too cheap, about 3g each piece is closer to what it would have cost you for the real stuff. I hate you took a loss, but at 6g for a set that’s just a deal too good to be true.

“Sucks to be you” isn’t a customer service friendly response when it is well known there are still items out there with bugged names/graphics. Not sure the best solution in the case, short of take items off the market that have incorrect names.

Yeah Prophet I agree it’s not good customer service at all, but this is how ANet works.

Oh hey, here is a bug in our game and you lost out on lots of your hard earned gold / karma / whatever….. tough luck.

Oh look, here is a bug where you actually managed to profit somewhat… We should really perma-ban these guys.

For extra info I have lost out on about 40k karma that I used legit not during any bugs to buy green items from Cursed Shore to use in the Mystic Forge. They gave me nothing in return and I got an automated response telling me they cannot refund in game items / currency.

While i’m sorry to hear about this, i was also in that situation before reading the prolific threads and posts about this known bug, i simply took the time to do a quick comparison of prices between the box ( all 5 pieces) and a single piece of the draconic set. Single pieces were almost 4g each, while the box was 6g? a quick comparison would have saved you some trouble, even if it is an unfortunate bug.

Imho the issue isn’t really if those who bought the box should have realized it was an unreasonable deal or not.. it’s the fact that the box is still in the game when it clearly doesn’t do what it’s supposed to do.

As i’ve already mentioned in other posts, it is a known issue they need to fix or relabel to avoid situations like this, and in no way is it really the fault of the buyer when buying mislabeled items, but honestly at the end of the day this can still be avoided by players with some quick comparisons. Just because a problem is or isn’t there, doesn’t mean you should not take extra precaution to double check prices or what not regardless.

Are you KIDDING ME. I just bought the box set for 17 gold. Clearly marked wrong and the price was only a few gold cheaper than the normal 20 you would pay individually. I won’t get my gold back Anet? This is your error in labeling and your telling me i wont have my gold back? Uber epic fail.

It’ was clearly marked as exotic on top of that. This is a ANET PROGAMMER issue. Seriously refunding a mistake is the only proper course of action. Ohhh, sorry no we just can’t do that is not ok for a MMO that people pay for.
