Does anyone know if the boxing gloves and the pirate sword work together when equipped? The boxing gloves take the hand slot while the pirate sword takes the toy slot, however, both the boxing gloves and pirate sword have their own skill bar.

Are you sure about that? I know someone with the pirate outfit and he told me when he removed his gloves, he could still use the skills.

You don’t need the whole outfit just to use the skills. Just the toy is all. I have the Pirate outfit and Cook outfit and you can use the toys separately without the outfit.

As for the gloves with the toys, I really have no idea. I haven’t bought the gloves myself. My guess, is that which ever you equip last will overwrite the other. For instance, if you have the sword equipped and then equip the gloves, you’ll get glove skills. But if you equip the sword after the gloves, then you’ll have sword skills. That’s my guess at least.

I really wish that was the case. I just bought the pirate’s outfit and apparently the boxing gloves override the pirate sword, so whenever I have the gloves on, the pirate sword is hidden. Would be much better if at least the pirate sword was sheathed on my side.

Also, equipping the pirate’s gloves while the boxing gloves are on results in me being taken to my normal clothing and my weapon then goes invisible.

Edit: And now my Ranger longbow skill “Rapid Fire” is constantly glitching. It’s getting stuck and casting forever.

They are useless and can’t be used in pve combat, if you want real cosmetic system, play lotro.
