It’s not the same. He wants to experience a certain area of the game. If he’s willing to pay the price, there is no reason for a player to be denied access to current content.

@OP, if this is entirely for functionality, do bear in mind the ship is actually better and more convenient that the royal terrace is. The royal terrace is broken, and misses things such a Black Lion Weapon Specialist and Activity NPC.

If it’s because he wants to experience every area of the game he’s already too late, so many instances are long gone.. Not much to experience in the Terrace. You can go see it without a pass iirc.

Royal Terrace = upper class
Ship = middle class refugee ship
Vigil = refugee peasants

I would buy it too, but currently, I have neither because:

I fear the Royal Terrace will not get updated.
I fear there will eventually be a new one better than the ship, which will out-date the ship.

Anet, if you’re reading this, please make an official response somewhere, because this uncertainty is costing you a sale, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

All jokes aside, I prefer the battleship because of the view. And a battleship is just a lot more awesome imo ^^

Yeah, I bought the Ship Pass because I wasn’t able to get the Royal Terrace.

So ugly compared to Divinity’s Reach! Also, I go to Divinity every day

I bought the Captains pass with gold, but would probably buy a permanent Terrace pass as well after seeing the Airship, while the compactness of it is sort of a plus it can also be a negative point depending on circumstances.

Basically I am also on the ship that I would have bought a Permanent Royal Pass, but since there is no guarantee when or if they will be sold again (especially since they were available during Wintersday) I went with the captains one.

Also, while I made my purchase converting gold, I will say this much… the Royal Terrace looks good enough that I might have bought one with actual cash, but the Airship just feels cheap, too cheap to actually use money on it (when essentially, gold equals time).

Yes, please bring back the Royal Terrace Pass. DR is much nicer than the ship…also DR doesn’t have that annoying wind sound… O.o

I wanted to try out the pass before buying a second one for my co-main character and it was already removed from the Gem Shop when I went back to get another.
