Bring back player to player trade.
Since it was never in this game, how does one “bring it back”?
RIP City of Heroes
P2P Trade will never happen in this game, unless you do it via mail.
Bloin – Running around, tagging Keeps, getting whack on Scoobie Snacks.
I miss the p2p-trading too. Kourna in GW1 was so full of live with all the people and the trading that was going on. Then finding the player you made a deal over chat with to use the trade-function…sigh…memories…good old times.
The mail-system sadly is sub-efficient for p2p. You can’t even send everyone in your party an item without getting prompted with the spam-limiter. Everytime I want to share some buff-food, we have to start a mail-chain.
I don’t miss WTS/WTB spam in every chat channel at all…
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

doubt they’ll ever change it. there isn’t too much gold sink in this game.
and dont’ think anet want to put custom support for scams. right now, if any scams happen they can just say “hey, you are suppose to use the trade post”.
even if anet put out a robust trade system there will be scams. and quite honest i seen many games that can’t even put out a reliable trade system. (cough cough diablo 3, made by the biggest online game studio)
- I don’t miss the WTS/WTB spamming
- I don’t miss the frequent forum posts about being scammed
- I don’t miss the stories of veteran players taking advantage of newbies
- I think the TP fee as a gold sink is a wonderful idea
Player-to-player trade is obsolete in this game. With a global TP as the main hub of selling, there’s no honest reason to trade item-for-item. It’s not like you cannot give people stuff. And you shouldn’t be thinking of helping people who you don’t trust enough to trade via the mailing system.
