When buying on the trading post, and sorting by “Upgrade Components” “Weapons” “Exotic” on the filter, all of the exquisite gems show up.

However, they CANNOT be added to weapons, and their text says as much (accessories, amulets, rings only).

Either they are meant to be added to weapons, but cannot be, or they are simply listed wrong in the trading post. If the former, it’s a large issue; if the latter, a minor issue that caused me to waste a bit of money and be slightly sad, as there appear to be no exotic weapon upgrades

This happened to me also, I bought two exotics thinking they’d fit in my weapons since it was under the “weapons” upgrade category. After some research I found out only sigils can be used on weapons. Bummer
