Hi, my name’s Phlegm and I have a gambling problem. I spend way to much money on the BLTC on any type of lottery box they have. Holiday boxes, the standard chests… I love em! I can’t stop!

Went thru 15 boxes or so today, looking for the new weapon skins. What I DID get was a name change contract. “Hurray!” I said. “Something new!” I was excited. But then it hit me….I don’t WANT to change the names of any of my characters….

No big deal, right? I’ll make some cash for it….except it’s account bound.

Like I said, I love me some gambling, and seeing new stuff rules, but I just wish things weren’t account bound, so it’s not taking up space in my bank.

I’m fine with it but if you have a character called NaughtyMonkeyBits as well, the ANet team may see it as offensive to someone…then that Name Change Contract may be of some use to you in the future….

The name is monkeynaughtybits….the monkey is not naughty, the bits are.

And no, it’s not any of my character names…neither is Phlegm because these killjoys didn’t allow it.

I have no say because I’m not a GM but I don’t find Phlegm offensive at all… you could have created a Necro, dyed their armor a dirty phlegm colour and then cast epidemic…infecting us with your snotty name…

I empathize – I have a total make-over kit sitting in my bank. Maybe I’ll find a use for it someday, but probably not. It would be really bad though to allow folks to turn gems into gold without going through the gold<->gem conversion process.

Maybe it would be feasible to allow folks to turn unwanted random stuff from their chests back into gems. Sort of like vendoring where you don’t really get the item’s full value, but at least you get something. Then you could put it toward more keys to support your habit

I’d suggest holding onto it.

I remember when they made special mystic forge recipes to get rid of extra tonics and boosters that people didn’t want.

It wouldn’t surprise me if they made those sort of things again. So hold onto it.

I think if my name was phlegm, I`d cough up the cash for a name change.

Personally, I think they should change it to so you can sell some of this stuff.

What box did the name contract come out of. I want one of these but don’t really want to pay the $10 to do it.
