I was just curious as to why you can’t just type in a set number of gems you want to purchase with gold. Instead you have to continue to increase/decrease the amount of gold you’re willing to spend until you get to the number you actually want. If there is a way to purchase a set number, instead of just typing in the amount of gold, please let me know as I’m tired of increasing by 1 silver until I find that magic number.

Would be a nice UI improvement. Obviously should be done on the other side, as well.

Yeah, it’s not like people are just going to buy a random amount of gems. If I’m wanting to craft a Mystic Salvage Kit I’m either going to buy 250 or 450 gems but the way it is now I have to play the guessing game. Start at 1g, move up 50s, decrease 25s, increase 10s, decrease a few copper, market refreshes so add a few silver. Just let me buy the amount I’m after instead of causing all the trouble. Why it was set up this way to begin with is beyond me as no one can possibly say this way is better than just entering the number you want.

I never thought about it but this is a good idea. I’m not sure if I will care if I buy to the exact amount of gems I need but I can see how it would be useful to do so. Put me down as one in support of being able to do that.

Ok maybe bumping is against ToS. I feel that being able to enter exactly how many gems you want to buy with gold is a good idea. Ditto for buying Gold with gems. Because yes, having to guesstimate, and round up and down, takes a while. And I rather be hunting and farming than guesstimating. Unless guesstimating gave xp :P ( just teasing)

It’s just a mistake in the UI design. Obviously you should be entering the quantity demanded, not the quantity you wish to supply, as that’s the way people actually think about these things.

It will probably get changed once they get around to cleaning up the TP UI; it’s not a huge priority but it should be a simple change that is pretty obvious in retrospect.
