Hi everyone,

Today, I dropped a dusk from the forge. Was awesome. I’ve dropped precursors in the past, but there’s still nothing like getting one!

Anyway I sold it pretty quickly, and pooled some gold together because I wanted to buy a Minstrel. (Before you say I should just make it, I need to admit that I just do not have time to map again after my 2 legendaries, because I work a whole lot and do not feel like taking a year to make it).

I posted my buy order, and I’m itching. I was told by friends that it is likely that it will take a long time because it isn’t all that profitable of a legendary, and not that popular. What I want to know: Should I wait and hope someone sells it to me, or should I just spend the extra 300 gold to get it in my hands today? Is it likely that my buy order will fill eventually, or will it sit and rot for weeks on end?

I get that of course, no one has an exact answer. But any info would be appreciated!

It’s not a very popular legendary, true, but Minstrels are still bought and sold fairly regularly. I sold one a couple months ago and I was watching the graphs pretty closely while mine was up for sale. I noticed that there appeared to be one or two selling every day (it’s possible they were being de-listed of course, but that’s less likely given the penalty). I can’t be sure how many more were selling to buy order, since buy orders can be cancelled at no risk to the buyer, but I did see some buy orders go up and then disappear almost immediately, which suggests that they were filled (there’s little reason to cancel a buy order that’s only been up for an hour). So I don’t think your buy order will languish for that long, especially if you put in an order fairly close to the sell price. You might have to wait a few days but I doubt it will take weeks. you’ll need to refresh your buy order a few times, but I expect you’ll buy order one within a few days. if you can stand to wait that long, do it. if you have a deadline or must have it now, buy it now.
another option is to overcut the current highest buy order by 50g or 100g (still 200g below sell listing). no one will outbid you and it’ll likely get filled within a few hours.
