As im sure all of you know, the price of precursers has risen and made it much harder for people to buy them. I am currently working to get the bifrost but am still missing the precursor. I have the gold to buy it but im hesitant due to the price.

My question to you all is do you think that the price will drop? if it will then I can wait but if its going to rise I want to buy it now before its out of my reach. what do you guys think is going to happen in the near future? especially with precursor crafting.

Point of order – the price has risen so that the difficulty is about the same. Before only CoFp1 masochists could generate top level adventuring income and their willingness to pay for precursors determined their true value.

Now everybody can make money like that with the 24/7 champion train of your choice – but again the precursor true value is still determined by the TOP earners, not the people with their basket full of bushels of low hanging fruit.

That said, of course the price will drop …eventually. The scavenger hunt alternative and the second wave of Legendary skins are going to both act to gut the current equilibrium.

I have 2 precursors in my bank, one bought fairly cheap (about 20% of what they go for now) and one that dropped. I am SERIOUSLY considering selling them off and just waiting for the second wave, and none of the current legendary skins are a good thematic fit for the characters that use those weapons.

It’s not going to drop until they put in craftable precursors. That’s something they plan to implement within the year though. If you’ve held off this long, I would at least wait for that.

I have also had the money to buy my precursor for a significant time now, however, I didn’t acquire this much gold by spending it foolishly. I would be shocked if it cost more than 800g to craft a precursor.

Most of that will probably come from the levels needed for the crafting; just like the ascended

I can’t see the probability of them going up since the supply will be increased. The only time that would happen is if it’s so hard and expensive that no one is willing to do it, thus justifying a higher precursor price.

The dev’s showed their concern on the prices of them when they were around 500g for the higher end ones (iirc that was the price at the time… it’s certainly gone up since then regardless). That leads me to think that it won’t so hard/expensive to justify them going up even higher.

The complaint that people had that started the need for another method to obtain a precursor was that they are too expensive and the supply is too limited… I don’t think that solution would be something that makes it even worse.

What will happen imo is that the precursor prices will fall, but the items required to make the full legendary will go up because there will be higher demand for them (thus negating a lot of the savings from a less expensive precursor).

This is all speculation on both sides (people who think they will go up and those who think they will go down) but I find this to be the most logical thing. People are free to disagree though.
