With the Christmas season coming I was thinking some gems would be a perfect little gift, was wondering if there’s a way to buy some for someone else’s account?

You can buy gem cards (I believe they come in 1000 and 2000 gem amounts) in some stores and gift those to the people you’re thinking of. That’s the recommended method from an ANet rep.

Do you know what stores in particular and if these are commonly stocked? (In Canada specifically?)

Afraid not (living in Australia myself), but your best bet would be to try whatever big game retailers you have in Canada that typically sell AAA titles. (GameStop or EBGames, for instance. Not sure if they operate in Canada.)

Say I want to send somebody 400 to get more storage. Would rather buy gems and send them since the gold to gem ratio changes.
