Forgive my ignorance. But is it possible to “Gift” people Gems, to buy and give friends gems as birthday presents/holiday presents.

Subsequently if not, are "Pet Cages/Boxes and Dye Kits capable of being mailed to friends?

If an item says account bound or soul bound you cannot send it off to anyone. The only way to gift gems is to buy a gem card and give them the code.

All the items that are in the gem store are account bound.

In the beta there was an option to gift items to be people. Not sure why that was removed. Maybe it’ll return at some point …

This is what I would have suggested. It’s the most logical way.

Often, I give people the serial number on a postcard, and the “unpacking” is actually figuring out where it fits. Wii points? Steam game? Gametime? gems? For some dedicated gamers it takes a while before they find their new shiny.

it seems that it is more expensive to buy the card via ebay, it there a way to buy the 2800 gems for $35 and get sent the code via email maybe?

Not sure if this is already stated but they added a gift feature to the store again.

I don’t know about gifting gems via the store, but you can certainly gift items as of a couple of patches ago. You just click the present icon next to the “purchase” icon and you can choose who to send the gift to. Just make sure they don’t have a full mailbox or they won’t know they’ve got something waiting!

But if you buy a gem card in say England can your friend in the USA redeem it?

Will we be able to gift account upgrades in the near future, such as Character slots. Bank tabs or bag slots?

You can gift items from the Gemstore by clicking the present button next to the standard purchasing buttons.

that is not the answer on the question but pretty close to give the same in the end.
the question where if you could gift gems ingame and from my knowlege you cant gift the gems unless you have a prepaied card or you trust the person enough to give credit card info or paypal info to him
