Why are chaos weps still one claim also someone told me the rarity of claims went up

Usually BL weapons are 1 claim ticket for a limited time, then they go up to 3-5 tickets, some to 7.
I expect that they kept it at 1 ticket longer because of the introduction of the Collections. When the Halloween stuff is released they will probably go up to 5 tickets.

Ug shud I convert gems into gold instead? I need mats for something but isk if I sell now or wait for it to go ip

Did you buy the gems with cash first? If you did then it’s roughly 7-8g per dollar/euro/0.85 pound.

there is no guarantee that the skin prices (gold, that is) will go up anytime soon, I expect it will go the other way first, when everyone panic sells to get rid of their hoarded skins. Basically, BL skins are a long term investment.
Whether or not you should exchange gems for gold is something only you can decide. If you choose to do so my advice is to wait a few days – you generally get more gold for your gems when anet releases something new or let something old return in gemstore, which they usually do on tuesdays.
Unless you need a lot of gold immediately, grind some dungeons for a couple of days.

Chaos weapons will not ever be worth anything.

First, an initial popularity surge due to a nostalgic drop, a BL key sale, then double BL keys drops, plus the panic end of keyfarming craze, then an 8+ week sale period at 1 ticket per.

Too much supply.
Everybody who wants them has them, and there will be a glut for some time after.

with the market saturation, the ‘ugly’ ley line skins that nobody picked up are currently much more of a commodity, esp. the warhorn/ longbow/ shield / staff/ mace skins.
Chaos weapons probably going to stay low priced for a while.

theyre definitely staying 1 ticket until after weve visited wherever rytlock jumped into, that means a minimum of 1 more living story arc since thatll be a new map

That could definitely happen. There was one sale last year when all the Black Lion weapons prices got reduced by 2 tickets. I wouldn’t rule out stuff like the Winter’s weapons coming back as seasonal specials for Wintersday too.

BL Weapon Skins never had a countdown because they arent acquired through the gem store.

Most likely at reset on Wednesday.
