Actually, what’s offical cap of character slots I can (am allowed) to have..?

I tought it was 8 but just bought 9th slot(4th upgrade) while trying the system.

I’m not sure what the cap is but I believe in another thread a few people confirmed to have over 12 slots. Currently the number of slots is believed to be higher than 17 with 5 from buying the game and 12 you can purchase

Uh, what’s the point of having more than eight characters anyway? One for each class.

Besides for the mules, obviously.

Someone mentioned earlier he/ she has 40 slots. ^^
Furthermore Anet confirmed that 40 is not the cap.

Yet they restrict bank slots to 8?

I too, demand more bank slots!

If they’re going to have it so players can get near-limitless inventory space by buying up to 40+ character slots. Why not just make it so players can buy that many bank slots and not have an inconvenient work-around? Seems like it would make it easier on everyone.
