Charged Lodestones and Precursors
The first week fractal craze is also over, and fewer people are running fractals now, which was where the influx of lodestones and cores were coming from. I think the greatsword precursors are back to the prices they were at shortly before the cursed shore patch. Though the price will probably increase to the level you mentioned given the price of rare greatswords, unless they actually did significantly increase precursor forge rate. However, given how borked the drop rates were last patch, it woudn’t be surprising if the forge rate actually decreased lol.
I hope the scavenger hunt thing for precursors I heard about somewhere come out during the December update. I’d like to get my Dusk for under 100 gold by next summer lol… Would be interesting to see the hit the precursors would take on the market then!

Cursed shore patch?
Dont you mean the Cursed Shore ground nerf. Making the zone a ghost town because all every drops is porous bones.
Basically back to where they were before the quick supply increase.
Ecto and materials have continued to go up (though some T6s have leveled).
Legendaries, especially the greatswords, currently cost 100-200g more than before fixes intended to lower their cost were implemented.
Would be nice to not be completely left in the dark on this. The closest we’ve gotten to any real news is “we’re working on it,” and “We’re going to run some data.” The latter was in response to the currently horrid drop rates of rares on Cursed Shore and other locations, where any players that has farmed there for more than two hours will immediately tell you they’re getting 1/4th the normal amount of rares and that champions are still not dropping loot even when properly tagged.
What exactly are you looking for here….seriously. Do you expect for the legendary to have a “fixed” price fullstop? No, the market goes up and down. There is a reason some of us predicted the market and started purchasing our first Charged Lodestones even before we had exotic gear.

Uh, no, just no.
One cannot predict when Anet decides to bloat supply numbers by throwing lodestones into new dungeons. You might have gotten it right by predicting that lodestones would have a constant demand, but don’t flatter yourself for being smart when only the devs can predict the numbers they’re going to play with..

You are the one who doesn’t understand. You predict things if they stay as they are. No, you cannot predict things if devs introduce Lodestones in dungeon vendors. And that is why I said they shouldn’t be introduced or made easier to get. I think it is pretty simple to follow.

The fact that there is a market for having an optimal time for obtaining a Legendary is part of the problem.
Whether or not I want to go for a legendary should not have “be able to manipulate and exploit the market” as a pre-requisite. Yet right now it’s the most important factor – more than how much you’ve played the game, or explored, or done anything related to something other than the economy.
Legendary prices are currently increasing at about 50% of the rate I’m farming gold. For every 10g I get on Cursed Shore, some part of the legendary has gone up so that it costs at least 5g more. Do you think that’s alright? Because I’m sure Anet doesn’t.

I farmed yesterday 2 hours in the new island and I got 18 Powerful bloods, 40 Potent bloods, 2 ectos, 50+ karka and around 60-70s in vendor trash. How exactly you cannot make as much as the legendary goes up?
Also you think that ANet thinks that the chase for the legendary shouldn’t be like this? That is why they were adamant on that they want less than 5% of the population to have one? If they want to keep it like this there has to be a bottleneck…guess what. You just found it.
Edit- It was 18 Powerful bloods not 10.

Keep thinking you can predict markets like you do. Because if Anet plays around with their numbers and you think the economy will show exponential growth for all time to come you will be mistaken. The money supply in this game will stop growing as wildly as it has because the game is new, and the botters. Inflation will settle down.
Predicting market trends while the money supply is exploding and inflation is going on is easy. Adding variables like an overnight increase in supply on top of stable prices will break some TP traders.

I don’t play the market at this stage of the game. I predicted what would each thing mean at the early stages. So unfortunatelly your wish doesn’t hold any water.

People like you are why this game is going to fail like every other Korean MMO brought West unless A.Net makes major changes. This “F-you Got Mine!” attitude that is so prevalent is just tiring.

^^ This.
I’ve just completed the main part of the legendary that doesn’t require one to be a market mastermind, i.e. Gift of Mastery. Next is a metals grind, where I need to sprint around Orr trying to avoid the ubiquitous, stunning (not in an attractive way) mobs to mine Orichalcum. Then I’m doing dungeons galore.
I do feel, however, that money trumps activity, and that market speculation is more profitable than work. With 10 years of experience in London’s financial district, this sounds an awful lot like RL to me.

Tell me you are joking please. Whether I played the market at the early stages of the game helping me with the precursor and the lodestones (ONLY) didn’t mean I did not spend a lot of time trying to make the Legendary I possess. The only reason I spent this time was because ANet promised it will be hard/cumbersome enough to stay limited to less than 5% of the populaton. That is why I tried to figure out ways to gain the “hard” parts (bottlenecks) of the process.
So as you can understand it is not a “F-you Got Mine!” attitude. It is something completely different. And if you go to the extent of calling me an elitist prick or something along those lines….I would say that you couldn’t pay me a better compliment even IRL.
P.S. I am a Westerner….has nothing to do with Korean MMOs and attitude of such.
