Chinese Gw2 launch & how it affects us
What could the China release possibly have to do with the Trading Post? Are people speculating on ….gee, I have no idea what might be speculated on that would have to do with the China release.
China’s BLTC does not affect our BLTC at all.
…the games are not connected in any way… Different trading posts, you can’t message between the two, etc.

but if this game tends to get more like a korean/chinese mmo means game is being fixed!
lol just lol it was stated I don’t remember where but their game is serviced on a completely different ……server? idk what to call it but our games are not connected in the slightest and we were informed of this probably because someone else questioned it
The speculation surrounding GW2 China baffles me, especially after the original game had a Chinese release, on its own, unconnected server, and that had next to no impact on the western release beyond “You have been playing for X hours. Please take a break.”
The incorrect speculations are helping me to make a lot of money. I’m loving how the Precursor prices spiked.

based on?
As others have said, the Chinese TP will not be linked to the US/EU TP at all. However, it’s possible some players don’t know that and are trying to buy up supply in various areas to profit when the Chinese launch occurs, not knowing that it won’t affect us in the slightest.

Not being based on anything just stating my opinion, i am a casual player and i always prefered the “asiatic” machanics of mmo’s, i cant imagine chinese players being attracted by the dps blob fest on random overflow system playing with randoms while game was supposed to be divided trough servers (wich atm is how i see this game).
- Based on? * if i had to choose a game?
One of the last games i tryed, as Ragnorok online (was on KRo and EuRo betas, and played for several years )
-Game had huge quest lines do craft exclusive weapon (i imagined precursors would work on this way ).
-Castles superior design on War of Emperium had several tactical places, inner paths, siege, and reward for holding the keep, and Archers/Snipers worked great lol"
-No overflow systems :P
-The game is still alive.

it’s also boring, generic, ugly, has a horrible battle system…..and i can go on.
and yes, i have played the game.

Indeed, thats where gw2 excells combat is pretty good compared with others but lacks on verything else.
We are still yet to experiment a good mmorpg.

actually the battle system of GW2 is horrible too, it uses the targeting system of a dynamic battle system but has a static battle system made for a static targeting system.
a good system would be something like ESO or DCUO, granted that the targeting system needs to fit them better but it’s still better then the mishap we have to deal with here in GW2.

ahahahaha.
A good system would not be ESO or DCUO. ESO especially has a horrible terrible worthless combat system, the fact that you are talking about it invalidates your opinion on good combat but I suppose there is nothign wrong with having bad taste in life. DCUO is kinda nice but still spamming and based on rock paper scissors.
A good combat system would be a game that takes TERA targeting system and combines it with Blade and soul or possibly gw2 but make it more deliberate and remove animation immunity.
This is an mmo forum, if someone isn’t whining chances are the game is dead.

bad taste doesn’t exist, only bad judgment.
i based the ESO part with what i like about skyrim but since skyrim isn’t an MMO i needed the next best thing, tera is BTW a system i deliberately avoided because it’s quite boring and stale, not to mention slow.
i know a battle system that could work but it needs quite some tweaking around to make it fast paced, the battle system raiderZ uses.
there you can fight within fun control of your character and not be totally depending on skills, you can use your movement buttons to decide how you attack and even use skills to combine with normal attacks.
Have anyone seen the inflation on BLTP lately?
Not really – prices are coming down on the stuff I flip, but maybe you and I are looking at different commodities. I assumed that by “inflation” you meant “rising prices”.
Only thing I think China will adversely affect for us is dev distraction while they’re out being marketing and sales people for a few weeks.

You might also see RMTĀ“s focussing on the chinese market.

I dislike all these MMOs with shooter interfaces. Yes, i am a mouseclicker, and i need the possibility to click on my hotbars. Any game with forced mouselook and unclickable hotbars like DCUO, Vindictus, Neverwinter and Tera were deinstalled after mostly 10-20 minutes of trying to play them.
And i really really feared that GW2 would maybe also go that way, and was very when i finally could play the beta and see that it had MMO and not shooter controls.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.

would be nice if they gave an option to choose from

More games are beginning to ditch the old method of combat and heading into the more action realm. That is just the natural progression, will they still be games that have the old system, maybe but you are going to have to learn not to be a clicker.
Which that said, as a former clicker Have you EVER EVER considered getting a logitech G600 or razer naga? Once I got a gaming mouse my clicking days were over. it was a little hard at first but after that initial week shock it became second nature and possibly the best thing I have bought in terms of gaming.

I simply can’t imagine that those work for me since i normally really need my thumb to be pressed at the side of the mouse to move it. And on a mouse with three side buttons i already had problems that i pressed one button for accident.
Must also say that i’m 49 and i never really learned typing and so i still type with 3-4 fingers and have to look at the keyboard very often when typing so when i try to use more than maybe 1-4 on the keyboard i often just press the wrong key

i have a razer naga and all i use are the regular buttons and the 10 11 & 12 buttons, i even set them on F1 F2 and F3 so i can quickly use the F key’s in GW2 and MMO’s i set the 3 F key’s. (if only we could move the F key skills, i pretty much never use F1 on my engi but i need the F4 skill)
the rest becomes quite useless, they are simply out of reach of the thumb and to close together to make good moves without making to much mistakes.
F1 is also on my side button of my G400, the second side button is also out of reach in normal playing. F1 because i use that one the most on my guardian. And itss also good on Rangers to let the pet attack
Q is remapped to show names, E for dodge, Y for loot all, those are the keys that i can reach best since normally i always have my middle finger on W.

i have multiple peripherals, but I still like the ability to choose which to use… the peripheral or the keyboard. On occasion I hit the wrong button and having the ability to click an icon to recover from that mistake is handy!
