Consolidated Skins Concerns
I’d certainly buy more skins if they moved to the Zenith model. Every time I see a skin set (or more usually a part of a skin set) that I want, I always wind up hesitating because I don’t want to commit it to one character and then later regret it. Moreover, I can’t use them on low level armours because that means wasting 6 fine transmutation stones down the line.
I’m sure that the calculations have been done, but I really can’t believe that I’m far enough from the majority view as for this not to be at least as lucrative as the current system, and it would be one that generated far more good will towards the gem shop.
Agreed. Moving skins to the Zenith model would be really good for gem sales imo. This is especially true for armour skins.
Having bought an armour skin for gems, it’s highly unlikely I will buy another. If I do, I need to aquire a new set of armour for it, or overwrite the skin I bought earlier and loose it. I’m reluctant to do any of these things.
People who enjoy changing looks would probably be the main buyers of new skins, but the current model makes it very expensive for them to buy more than one.
There is more than enough all covering heavy armors for females. I’m happy with my sexy look.
Forums have asked for BLTC armor to use the Zenith model since the game launched, sadly Anet’s response to this are the splitter stones. Guess Anet figured they would sell more gems by making you buy 6 splitter stones + 6 transmutation crystals.
It may change someday if the splitter stones do not prove to be so popular (right now It seems most use them to transfer legendaries between characters) Only option atm is to not buy the armor and wait for Anet to change their mind.
