Cost Disparity intended?
yeah, it seems quite unfair that it’s more expensive to gear based on your class. They should all be equal.
but, they know there’s a huge difference between the crafts, they either don’t care or are to afraid to make a change.
If it wasnt intended, they will definately not confirm it before they got a fix live.
They will never say, yeah, we messed up and you can expect a change in the near future.
The amount of deldrimor/elonian/damask you need for crafting each armor piece of each profession basically derived from the existing system that was established in crafting from 0-400. I think the biggest mistake was to neglect the fact that cloth will have a way bigger ascended sink as it is used by all 3 professions due to the fact that insignias are based on cloth. In order for all 3 professions to be somehow equal in price, you not only havew to balance cloth new but also leather.
Anyways, i put forward a suggestion in another topic, if you care:

I’m not sure “afraid to make a change” is the right phrasing. I think they realize how unfair it would be to those that have already paid the higher price to now lower it for future crafters. I have not even considered Ascended armor yet, so I have no horse in the race, but I can see that it needs to be changed, but would be unfair to do so now.

I’ll add this:
If silk prices were adjusted to be 50% of what they are now, a 13% price increase of the other scraps would break even with the current costs of damask cloth. Any more of an increase and you lose gold by the change. You can be pretty sure that prices of the other scraps would rise more than 13%.
Also, it used to be a 50 gold difference when I did the calculation over a month ago. I’ll have to wait until I get home to compare the difference in prices and see what the cause is.
