I am wondering whether I am able to acquire multiple of the same outfits I purchase from the Gem Store in a way which is similar to how the In-Game Store from GW1 worked by allowing all characters access to the costumes via the costume maker (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Costume_maker)

Or must I make multiple purchases if I want the same costume on multiple characters?

I believe most costume items are account bound (with perhaps the exception of the armor skins such as Primeval).

Being account bound (eg Wintersday outfit), means you can trade them between your characters by depositing them in your shared bank.

If, however, you want two characters to use the same costume without having to transfer it over, then you will need to buy it twice.

There are no costume makers in Tyria any longer, so the “old method” of getting a costume on each character has changed to swapping it via your bank.

Thank you for your response, I think I might avoid the Gem store in that case though

there does however need to be a costume storage or maker so that they dont all take up space its not like we can delete them as in gw1 then just reaquir
