Crystalline Dust was never in short supply

Intel 520 120GB + 240GB / 2 x WD Caviar Black 1TB (RAID 0) / Corsair AX1200 / ASUS VG278H

And what do you use your skill points for? I have hundreds on my various toons…
People who want to make legendry’s do this. They do this because they have to. It is by no way profitable nor can you decide what comes out. If your doing this you want the clovers and get mad when dust shows up.
As stated above it does waste your skill points if your doing it for anything other than clovers. I think there is a total of around 20 different things that can come out and if your doing it just for t6 mats your going about it the wrong way.
I’d rather use skill points to make exotics such as The Anomaly and sell them. Guarantees at least two full stack of T6 materials and some gold left over. I’d rather not take a gamble with the forge whenever it isn’t necessary.

I tried the clovers receipe. It just keep giving me clovers and not enough t6 mats.
A stack of ectos and 250 skill points for The Anomaly nets you a maximum of 42g going by ectos at 20s (at the time of this writing). That’s 16s per skill point.
When C-dust was 38-40s, I was getting a little more than that, and I needed the clovers (and the extras sell at 6s40c so not too bad).
Ran Plinx again tonight, killed Broodmother again. The events are still there, just need people to call out and organize the events.
@per fection. 1. Yes, that’s what I said – the clovers were not a “mad to get mats” experience because of the value of the materials and low price of the ectos at the time.
2. it is now, wasn’t then. If you have so many great ways to use your skill points, feel free to share your great wisdom like Optimus has.
Oh yes, and since I am going for Lengendary, I was keeping the mats, so no 15% TP tax.
It is profitable. Was even more so if you got dust before the patch. I got 39 dust but didnt sell so i missed out on a 12g profit. Even when i didnt get dust i broke even or made a profit with other t6 mats. I have no shortage of skillpoints and going for weapons like anomaly to sell will just take too long and costs too much to make (I cant afford all those ectos). Plus you need all the skillpoints for anomaly on one character which will take a longtime to get. I have 200+ obsidian shards i dont need from orrian jewelry boxes, may aswell use them for something.

The clover recipe is okay if you are actually trying to get clovers and don’t care which t6 you end up with. If you have no use for clovers and you actually want a specific t6 then it is not so great. There are also a bunch of crappy stuff in the recipe result like Hidden Treasure, Cured Hardened Leather Squares and putrid essence.
You’re wrong. Dust was in short supply which was why it was going upwards to 60S. Time to move on.
Yep. Coz clearly people just loved spending more and more for t6 dust. -.-
Yeah, it sure is the best feeling to get 40 Cured Hardened Leather Sections.

442 skill points and counting. Unlocked all skills and spent ~100
I know I have terrible RNG luck. The first time I made a legendary I and I tried to make the clovers, I spent about 1.2 mil karma on clovers and the other 250 obis. It infuriated me that I just couldn’t get clovers to save my life.
Now I KNOW I have terrible RNG luck so I decided I’d use that to my advantage. I decided I’d use the recipe to get the other t6 mats I need for if I ever get a pre for my 2nd legendary. I went from 41 clover to 91 in 6 attempts. FML.

I suspect they upped the clover rate – I have noticed a few people talking about the rate of conversion being high (much more than 33%) and I went to convert some myself. I used the 10X recipe and ended up with 100 clovers from 14 attempts.

Like we were doing anything else with them???
You know the best things we could make with them in GW1? Celerities :p
…yeah YOU try eeking out a big margin on those stupid things.
Making T6’s has practically been like growing a money tree by comparison.
Whatever you do contributes directly to getting more of them.
…which I think was part the OP’s whole point.
I just WISH they would please please please remove Leather and Gossamer from the drop table in these clover outputs. That’s really a totally unnecessary slap in the face for something that costs an Ecto per roll.
