I was thinking about this earlier today and thought I’d throw it out at the community since most of the QQ posts originally were about cultural armor and its race exclusivity. I would love an intelligent response.

Why is it ok for cultural weapons to be accessed by other races (or re-skins of them) but not cultural armor?

You would think if it was such a big issue, people were threatening to quit playing, that their would be the same type of backlash over this, but its really such a non-issue that no one even cares or notices.

I have my own ideas. Mostly being people don’t care about the race exclusivity. They cared that it was cheaper and looked better than their set, that it had cool particle effects and their armor wasn’t the top looking armor anymore. But they can’t say that without looking like pricks so they try to use an intelligent argument like its race specific! (I do think to be fair, if they did keep the armor out then they should make more reskins of other t3 culturals)

Again the question is: why the big backlash about cultural armor, but no one cares about cultural weapons? It’s the same logic. An intelligent response please, I’d love to hear one

The difference is that:

- Since release, cultural weapons have always been accessible to all races
- Since release, cultural armor has only ever been accessible to one race

If cultural weapons were like cultural armor, and then one day we could start buying them on the gem store for any race, you’d see the same sort of uproar as you did with the Flamekissed skin.

Cultural Weapons – Were not racial exclusives, if they were and re-skins were released for cheaper, I’d garner the same thing would happen.

Well, two people came to the same conclusion so i guess logic dictates your answer.

Right. I’m saying since the outrage over cultural armor, shouldn’t there be the same outrage over cultural weapons too. I’m well aware that they’ve been accessible to all races… and no one seems to care. Seems to me they should make cultural armor available to all, especially since a lucky few already obtained it before patch fixes.

Another reason that people may not care is that frankly a lot of the cultural weapons just aren’t that impressive. A fail on the design team perhaps, but the cultural exclusiveness logically should still be an issue.
