I suppose this could apply to generally any of the popular precursors … but is it woth cashing out now or holding on to them longer and waiting for them to go up?

I kinda wanna pick up a Foefire weapon.

do you have intention an intention to make a legendary weapon ?

If I was u I would sell it now cause new legendary will come out soon and prices for old one will drop.

I’d sell while you still can, when precursor crafting is out and new legendaries are released, your dawn will plummet.
I’m not saying this because Dawn is the last item I need to finish my Sunrise, definitely not…

For someone as far along the path as you are, I’d suggest just finishing it, and then selling Sunrise if you really don’t like it.

Foefire weapons don’t have the bottleneck of the precursor, so, there’s no limiting factor for you to create one whenever you choose and given the overlap of some of the materials, you’re not locked into one or the other.

As to above posters, it’s pure speculation that any of the upcoming changes (whenever that may be) will cause a price drop. Plenty of discussion already. And plenty of scenarios where prices for current precursors could appreciate.

I agree with this, but keep in mind that we don’t know when the new legendary weapons or craftable precursors will be introduced (the latter sounds like it’s still in early development from what we heard in the ascended crafting preview though). Until then the prices will keep going up.

• Crafted precursors was first mentioned end of last year, dont expect it to happen…
• Precursor scavenger hunt was first floated end of last year, dont expect it to happen…
• New legendaries… yeah hmmm not likely…

Im not saying it wont happen, just that the track record tells us that there is no point planning for things like this.

My take on the matter is that Legendary weapons are very hot atm, with stat diff to exotics until all upgrade to ascended and people who just dont want to grind for the ascended mats etc.

Now my guess is that this will cool off as we move forward and thus prices on legendary weapons/precursors will stabilize around the current levels or slightly lower.

If you are not going for Sunrise yourself then I would probably either craft/sell or sell the precursor directly.

Don’t assume that every weapon category will get a new legendary weapon…that is all.

Okay here is my opinion if you are going for sunrise than I would keep it 100% but otherwise I would sell it. The demand for legendarys seem to be very high right now. You don’t want to wait until a date for precursor crafting is announced because you’d likely be leaving money on the table. Plus you don’t know if there be new legendary greatswords or not. I’d say the market will likely crash for dawn. You might miss the peak if you sell now so it’s a tough call but I say sell.

I was going to make Sunrise for my warrior, but then I realised that I’m probably going to make hundreds of gold in the time it takes me to do map completion (i.e. enough to re-buy a precursor) because I just can’t motivate myself to suffer through it.

When I next log in I think I’ll just sell.

Sell it of course. I don’t know why you would even consider holding it. The miniscule amount of profit you could make doesn’t justify the risks.

I sold my Dawn a while ago (500g), it’s now around 600g? I’m going for twilight and all I need now is some of the T6 mats left and Dusk. However most my gold is gone already from getting all the other stuff xD

Bummer I put all that work into getting a Legendary and subsequently quit GW2 :-/
