…it seems that your economy is running low on Linen.

Can you please have a chat with the LS Team and make them use Wool again for their Ugly Sweaters?

Dear John, as i can see, you took some actions and had a stern talking to those LS teams. However, the secondary supply of over 10k Linen Bolts and 15k of scraps seems to have come from lootbags and lvl 46-63 light armor which quickly adjusted in price and i expect another rise in price for Linen after weekend.
Apart from that, I heard rumors from Commander Siegerazor, after we took Redbriar, that all the cute Quaggans from WvW got detained and are working in Skritt Sweatshops now to knit Ugly Socks, Hats and Sweaters. Can you check back with Devon on that issue?

Thanks,

Scrap the wool suggestion, John, its not working.
Try to ask Devon for more Quaggans, though. I will buy some jute to promote, just in case.

I approve of this thread.

On a more serious note, while I still believe prices for cloth will normalise in the future, I think the prices of cloth do reflect the increased difficulty of obtaining it when compared to wood and metal. Perhaps ANet could look at upping the amount of cloth scraps dropped from loot bags, as well as the amounts returned from salvaging light armor.

Prices for linen and cotton now are normal.
Lower level items from drop now have some value.

@Wanze: Working As Intended, didn’t you know?

What do you mean by normal? I like what they did with silk. Taking a mat that was at vendor value on the TP and finding a way to increase it was a good idea, especially since it didn’t get ridiculously high.

On the other hand, stuff like linen and cotton was always at a fair price. Not too high and not too low. Certainly way above vendor value, but now it’s getting a little out of hand. Keep in mind stuff like linen and cotton drop from lower level bags and salvage from lower level light armor. There is a much larger portion of the population at level 80 that doesn’t see a ton of drops of lower level stuff, hence one of the reasons the supply is starting to dry up. I remember many people on this forum predicting this would happen simply because there is no real good way to farm this stuff like running to a node as there is for metal and wood.

They really need to take Wanze’s suggestion and do something about it before linen gets to 20s. And all you people were worried about silk prices? LOL
