Deflation of level 80 exotics?
You need to ask yourself – why do people want to buy certain exotics?
A few reasons:
-they like the skin
-they like the stats and want to transmute them
-they want to use the weapon
-they want to throw it in the forge
So if you have an exotic that has a crummy skin, bad stats and is not the cheapest in it’s type, then it most likely won’t sell.

I think you can get rares/exotics from the laurel vendor now, maybe this is why there is a drop in the demand for them from the TP.

I highly doubt many people are deciding to waste their laurels on the hope of getting a rare/exotic from those boxes.

While my first 40 laurels are already commited (SyZyGy + kharma boost), I am considering doing a few rounds of sampling the Necromancer box before starting a second Amulet for my other 80. I have some faint hope the Final Rest was included on it’s loot table.
I wonder what your basis for comparison is…”

As long as it is a better deal to toss exotics up on the trading post rather than flushing them back into the forge again, people will continue to list them. You’re right that their prices are dropping well below the crafting costs, and it’s entirely due to this; as long as an exotic is more than 5x the cost of a rare, it’ll continue to be listed.
