There are still no higher tier of breathers and every gem store skin group has lacked underwater skins(Halloween, winters, super, fused, jade). The last underwater skins added were from fractals or guild commendations… two parts of this enormous awesome game that I personally have come to ignore entirely.

I wanted to maybe go for the kraitkin since I finished my terrestrial legendary but if Anet doesn’t even want to devote resources to underwater I can’t justify it either.

Both Kraitkin and Kamohoali’i Kotaki have their fair share of Legendary effects as opposed to, say, The Minstrel or The Meteorlogist.

They’ll get around to it eventually, it’s just a fairly minor part of the game and getting it up to speed with the rest of things is going to take an awful lot of work compared to changes that will have a big impact.

Since there is another Elder Dragon known as Bubbles there will be a lot of additional underwater content. I think they will change the combat too and make it more engaging since many people complain about this content. Also, I made Kraitkin (I first made Sunrise, so calm down) which is a absolutely great weapon. If it were a terrestrial Staff, it would be very popular.

There’s two avenues to consider.

1/ a lot of people don’t like underwater combat. Underwater fractal is easy for that reason alone … if it were difficult, people’d be all over the place kittening about it.

2/ currently, underwater combat is lackluster at best, with only 3 possible weapons and no BiS headgear. There is potential though.

3/ I fully expect a content update with underwater theme that will fix a whole lot of this combat problem.

If I can’t play Guild Wars 2 at work, I won’t work in Guild Wars 2 either.
