Hello all!

Before I start, let me state that this is not a rant of sorts, i am merely dissapointed! I have played many games, most of wich with a Trading Post. As easy as it is for others, I always terrible suck at making money from the trading post.

Today I finnaly managed to raise enough money to buy the Box of Draconic Berserkers armor from the trading post. Happy as i was, i bought it ( it went for 6 gold and 40 silver) and went to the trading post NPC to pick the box up. I opened it only to to find the Gladioter Set – Rare, not even excotic. A quick look at the trading post reveals that this full armor set goes for less then 1 gold at this moment.

I quickly double checked if i bought the right box, but this was indeed the case. Quickly scanning the internet showed me the following link:

Reading trough it shows that its a its most likely just a tooltip error. I must say i am really dissapointed! I haven’t opened a ticket, because I know Anet will not return my money in any case. I respect that decision, but still it frustrates me ALOT! I do not have the time to play the game alot, so when i finnaly manage to reach that ammount of money i would like to see something for my hard work, and this is just a huge let down.

Let this be a warning to all of you – Do NOT buy the Exotic Box of Draconic Armor, you will not recieve the gear youre hoping for.

If it looks too good to be true, it probably is! Taking a look at the TP, the Box is (or was) selling for about 10 Gold each. Each individual piece of the set (six pieces total) is about 3.5 Gold each, thus resulting in ~19.5 gold for an entire set. Trust me, everyone and their parents would be taking advantage of this already and buying every box they can find, and then sell the individual pieces to make a profit of 100% (doubling their money). And with everyone buying the boxes and attempting to sell the pieces on the TP, price changes would occur. Either the price of the box would start skyrocketing, or the prices of each Individual Piece would start plummeting (probably both would occur). Since nothing of the sort happened, one can gather that this is incredibly fishy and would probably cause someone to resort to Google for more information on the situation (there have been tons of threads about this already).

I really do feel sorry for each and every one of you who bought this box and opened it up, but let this be a lesson! I personally nearly bought the box a while back but noticed the odd prices, looked it up, found out it’s bugged, and went ahead and saved an extra 10 Gold to afford the set. I don’t regret this decision, as I’m rocking full Berserker’s Draconic armor with 6x Superior Runes of the Scholar, 2x Berserker’s Exotic Axes, and 1x Berserker’s Pearl Blunderbuss.
