There’s a reason that I’m posting this here, and for those of you that know at least a little about economics, you’ll understand why.

Anyhow, does ANet release when they go off to ban another wave of bots? Or do they keep that information confidential?

They haven’t for GW2 but they did for GW1. On the other hand you can infer it from some of their responses on the forum. One of Gaile and Mike’s recent post looks like it in a thread for people who got caught by accident in a mass ban.

Thanks, I was interested in seeing whether or not this was the case.

I keep all the ones that I report on my friends list until they are offline for at least a week. It seems like they don’t do anything unless they get more than a few people reporting. I usually get my friend to report them as well.

Usually right before or after an update

I’d be interested in knowing. I watched a video from Almars guides three weeks back where he speculated that he thinks there will be a ban wave “in about 3 weeks”. I don’t know about anyone else, but as I casually go up to my mithril ore mine, have a sip of my drink and watch ten other players appear, mine the node and dissappear seems to be a common occurance now.
