Why are doubloon prices going up so fast?

Probably the same reason as everything else on the market is going up?

ArenaNet’s recent “bot banning” and the resultant drop in supply, weekend (or weekday) shifts in demand, speculation, imaginary “stealth nerfs” to drop rates, and so forth.

The good news is, as prices climb, everybody who is selling items on the market is getting more cash as a result!

Mention on a financial site that Company X is downscaling and watch what happens to their stock prices, mention that Company Y is expanding overseas and watch their stock prices.

Now, do the same with items on the BLTP (bacon lettuce tomato pickle) and prices will fluctuate wildly.

Insider knowledge says that on the 15th(16th?) you will definitely want to have some BL chests, save your unidentified dyes, and stock up on ‘diamonds’ (gems).
Now, is that just me playing with you or is it an event pattern or do I really know something

well the price on blacklion chests just went up to about 9c from 5c earlyer this day … accoringly to GW2spidy (http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/20316) so there might be something to it.

no but srsly, there were roughly 500k at 5c a day or 2 ago. now that those have sold off, nothing has more than 50k up until 19c. so it went up quite fast.

made it to the 10c now … lets see if it can push even further … this is ridiculous.
