Do you think the price of these weapons will go back up to what they first were introduced into the market at or is the 20-30g an accurate representation of their price for the foreseeable future?

I’m holding onto my 5 extra tickets personally. I’m hoping the supply will drain, but not sure :P

Then again you can get tickets from the coffers…. so might be best to sell em now. I’m horrible at speculation lol.

Since you can get them from Black Lion Chests now, I believe that supply will remain relatively constant and the price is probably overstated right now. I expect the prices to come down as more people open chests.

EDIT: It appears that my interpretation of the wiki was incorrect due to the wiki being incredibly vague. I was reading it as if the BL tickets could be used to buy any of the skins available from the BL weapon specialists and that is apparently not the case.

Yeah I have a few tickets so waiting to see where the market is headed as it tanked quickly.

Sorry, you can indirectly get them now from the Black Lion Chests by trading in the ticket scraps.

You sure? I was under the impression that only the tickets from the dragon coffers worked for the Jade skins.

I haven’t personally checked, but I was under the impression that all of the skins available from the Black Lion Weapon Specialists were available for the BL chest scraps. If that is not the case then please disregard my previous posts.

You can still buy dragon coffers on the TP, they drop the jade tickets.

You were just lucky the first time, Vaya. I’ve had guildmates buy over 3000/4000 coffers before finally getting a Jade ticket.

I’m a little confused though. So the Black Lion Claim Tickets CAN’T be traded in for older weapons like the Sclerite or Fused weapons? Then how have the Fused/Sclerite weapons suddenly been showing up on the TP? Did people just have unused tickets sitting in their bank and suddenly decided to use them now?

Its RNG. You could get 10 or 100 tickets opening 2500 or like you nothing at all. But it has not been nerfed.

Yes, the only way to obtain a “new” skin is if you already had a ticket, since they don’t drop from anything available in the game right now. Which is why they are so expensive compared to Jade skins, which can still be obtained via tickets from Dragon Coffers listed on the TP.

Not everyone wanted a fused or sclerite weapon. Perhaps a player got a ticket but didn’t like any of the weapons, or only has one or two toons and didn’t like the skins for the weapons those toons used. Or stopped playing for a while, or was going to make a decision later and forgot about them, or hadn’t picked a “main” to play yet.

There aren’t a huge number of tickets in circulation, but with at least 4 million players there are going to be a few. Suddenly the unclaimed ticket is now worth 100+ gold, if you haven’t used it yet might as well turn it into cash.

Hmmm… I wonder if the Fused Gauntlet ticket can be sold now. I still haven’t used that…

I bought my jade wall skin for 14g, which was much less than I threw away on those worthless coffers for no reward.

Now if someone would just post a winter’s dagger skin i’d have all the skins I ever even remotely liked. If not i’ll just buy it for ~500 gems iirc, if it becomes part of the anniversary sale.

Their price will be directly tied to Dragon Coffer prices once the people who held onto their old tickets sell out. Since Coffers no longer drop and the world supply can only decrease Coffer prices will go up causing Jade weapon prices to raise.

No guarantee that it will be the same, they could add a new set that follows their current Ticket Scrap setup. Who knows :P

True, but if they DO release a new set, there’s also the risk that everybody flocks to the new set and demand for the old skins don’t improve either.

The real test will be when Halloween rolls back around. We’ll see whether ANet releases new skins, or whether they stick with the existing skins.

Yeah I definitely agree with that.

For Halloween I think we’ll see a new rotation of weapons, since it was only limited to a few different types.

During the event the average seemed to be about 1 ticket per 1500 chests. The weapons are currently way undervalued for some reason. Unless they’ve significantly buffed the drop rate without telling me.

With 10.000 coffers opened i have received 13 tickets. So im closer to 1/900

Fused tickets required BL keys, extremely rare to find randomly. Sclerite weapons came from boxes that dropped in the game, but as a rare drop from a rare drop. During the Dragon Bash, coffers dropped everywhere from everything, swing an asura by his ears and you’ll knock a dozen coffers loose. Though the tickets were rare, supply of coffers was 1000s of times greater. There are probably more jade greatsword skins in the game than every fused and sclerite skin combined.

During the event, I ended up with around nine or ten jade tickets. Fused and sclerite – 0.

Also, there’s a reason why they went back to putting the tickets in the BLTC chests – I’m sure that the “deluxe” dragon coffers sold on the TP were not a hot item when you could get a stack of the regular ones from the TP for a gold or two.

The items from the Southsun crates and dragon coffers weren’t worth it. At least with BLCs even if you ‘lose’ on a ticket you still have a chance of getting something nifty like a makeover kit (at least I prefer that to Karka shells or Zhaitaffy :P).

I didn’t expect Anet to give up on RNG boxes, but I’m glad that they seem to have gone back to BLCs. I’m much more likely to open those than bother with separate containers that usually only contain event specific crafting materials at best.
