Is it me, or has the droprate of ecto’s when salvaging rare’s been altered lately?

It’s still 9 ecto’s per 10 rares with a master kit. If you’re not feeling like you’re getting the right number, then try stocking up on them for a week then salvaging them all at once. Should help it all average out in front of you a bit more.

If you’re only doing them in sets of 10 then that’s your problem. That’s a very small number to try to get a sample from. Over enough time it should even out though. I’ve had good weeks and bad weeks myself, but overall it’s still 9/10.

It’s 90% yield on average, but your chances of getting [some] ecto from a single salvage are probably about 50-65%

There is a significant chance of zero ecto but in large samples, the occasions of 2-3 ecto help pull the average back to around 90%

Well idk I salvaged some, I don’t know how many, and I think it looked like it was less.

Can’t get more definite results than that.

Been salvaging around 10 rares a day for the past two weeks, I’ve been getting less ectos~ but maybe its just my bad luck.

From what I’ve read on the forums, there are people who salvage large numbers of rares on a regular basis. If there had been a change in the salvage rates it would be quickly noticed by them and reported. That’s what happened the one time there was a bug in the salvage rates. Since that hasn’t happened then it doesn’t look like there’s a problem.

Yea, basically what most do is put in buy orders on rare stuffs and salvage, then sell the ectos. I’ve used other methods in the past as well… but it’s almost always buy orders->???->ectos->profit.

I haven’t noticed any unusual drop in the numbers that I’ve been getting.

Lol. It’s a reminder to me that small things/kittens (situations/problems/suggestions) can get larger and have unintended consequences/cats. I use it to remind me to think twice about an answer to a problem .
