Why are the drops from the chests non-tradeable?

Having opened a pile of chests to get fused weapon skins (3 from 100+ chests, I stopped counting after a while), I’m now stuck with a pile of ‘useless’ junk that is just taking up space in my bank.

I can understand the boosts being non-tradeable, that isn’t an issue.

But: name changer, total makeover kit, BL summon things etc etc should all be TRADEABLE so at least I have a chance of something worth something after opening all those chests instead of having 50 instant repair cannisters that I will never use, etc.

Perhaps a dev could pop on and care to explain why people get kittened in this way?

Be happy that you got three, that’s three more than I got from more chests than that.

Also, look at it this way, all that useless stuff is the things you bought the chest for, the fusion weapons were just extra..
At least, that’s what I have to tell myself to continue playing.

It’s very complicated to explain, but I’ll try – the gist of it is that it would cause problems with the gold/gem conversion rate and would most likely depress the gold value of gems.

It could possibly mess up the demand for gems bought with gold since there would be plenty of items which are high in demand (boosters) compared with those that are low in demand (minipets, hair change). Each of these items would have different demand/supply quantities.

You could potentially end up with different gold per gem rates for each item which would lower the gold/gem price.

Chests are just a grab bag of items from the Gem store. Everything from the Gem store is account bound and therefore not tradeable.

Okay, nearly everything. Can you buy those contracts in the Gem store or are they also only available in chests?
