I would gladly pay $20 per set of transmute only dungeon gear skins and several of my guildmates would as well. It’s time to expand the gem store!

Short answer: No.

Long answer: This would never and should never happen. Currently the Gem Store works well, it offers only PvE affected items like the boosters, or the black lion chest keys for a very small amount of gems, which you can easily get from converting gold to gems.

If ANet were to introduce dungeon gear into the Gem Store, it would be the worse decision ever, and feel like a pay-to-win title easily. You should have to work for your gear, not be handed it because you have the money to spare. Sure it would only be the skins, but it would defeat the purpose of the entire dungeon system, and people would simply buy the gear off there for the look.

Putting anything in the store that you have to work to earn in game will be seen as a pay to win economy and completely turn off most avid gamers.

It has been stated many times by Anet this will not happen, the store is to carry items that has no direct impact on success in the game. Stated gear for sale and requiring no effort to earn flies in the face of that position.

no, just put up some nice Gem Store only skins

I think I spent around 300 dollars on APB just buying fluff (vehicles, car kits, clothing). I did this because it was interesting items I could not get in game.

The skin IS what people work for, the stats on dungeon gear isnt the best in most cases, to get the best gear you have to transmute the good stats with the good skins. The SKINS are what people work for.

The skin of the armor is what makes it prestigious. Selling prestige items that are supposed to show completion of certain content—especially in a game where great stats are far easier to get than certain skins—is a really good way to get long-term players to leave your game.

There are a ton of things they can add to the gem store without compromising the experience of actually playing the game.

If they are going to sell skins, they should sell new-thought up skins, or skins from Original Guild Wars, like the Kyrtan and Primeval Armour.

They should not sell skins that exists in Guild Wars 2 already on other stuff.

yes he is asking for the skin but in this game it seems you farm for the skins rather than the stats, since the stats you can easily get from crafted gear.

They already got a few example skins in the store, the problem that I see is that the skins that you can get from in-game items is much cooler then those that are offered in the gem store at the moment.

Characters need a lot more appearance options in the game so why not just add more skins to the store that has the same, high quality as those in the game and more skins in the game world
