Duplicate skin refunds?
I don’t know about skins but people have gotten refunds on items like bank tabs that they can’t use because the bank is maxed out. I suspect for something like this, it’s very possible to get a refund. They might ask you to destroy it so I wouldn’t apply the second one to anything, just leave it sitting in your inventory.
Submit a ticket to support. They’re likely to be sympathetic to your issue, since the wardrobe makes duplicate gemstore skin purchases absolutely unnecessary.

Yup just send in a support ticket stating your issue and they will get back to you and refund your purchases. I’ve been in the same boat before and they refunded me over $90 in gems due to duplicate skin sets.
Thanks all, i have submitted a ticket but just wanted to know if anyone had been successful in a gem return recently. I know they have refunded my duplicates before but this was back during the feature pack (wardrobe). I belive then they only stated that refunds would be given out for a limited time period.
I understand this was my fault but it would be nice if items that are already purchased would just be locked. It still gives me the option to purchase every outfit that i already own, even a 2nd Digital deluxe upgrade, which is somewhat worrying when i wouldnt even be able to activate a 2nd one of these items anyway.
Im just suprised more people haven’t made this mistake. I’ll post the outcome of the ticket later in the event anyone else stumbles across this in the future.

@Araleg: yes some individuals have gotten refunds (and some have not) for duplicate gem store purchases. Depends on the circumstances and how well you explain the situation. Support recognizes that people make mistakes and, where possible, they try to help.
I think there should be a warning if you are purchasing a duplicate skin ?
Prehaps even redirect someone to buy transmutation stones if they are cheaper?
Or even lock someone from purchasing multiple skins they already have now the wardrobe feature is here ?
(I do understand how this stuff existed prior to the wardrobe and this may be a very sensible change to make as it would reduce the number of support tickets ?)
The transmutation skins are a lot cheaper and it’s easy to miss that ‘unlocked’ item.
When using the skin you received from the gem shop it costs 0 transmutation charges to change the skin. You could just save the extra skin in case you want to transmute another greatsword and save yourself a transmutation charge.
