I’ve gotten a lot today .. could just be RNG, but it’s atypical under the new regime.

Probably just RNG. I haven’t noticed any significant change in dye drops over the last few days.

not sure what that’s supposed to mean Kwolf. The price hiked from 9s→15s for some reason in the last 3 days, so seeing it back down to 12s is hardly a sight of drop increasing

Yes, because 14s an unidentified dye is a drop and reasonable price.

I got a total of 11 unid’d dyes over the weekend, which is consistent with the drop rates I was seeing back when the game was first released. I’m still of the belief that the sudden spike in prices is due to more people buying them up for the Gift of Colour, and a precipitous drop in supply after the mass bot banning (as far as I know, bots simply sell everything they get on the TP and don’t bother with opening bags/dyes etc.)

unid dyes are increasing in supply. Either hoarders are bringing out their supply or they upped the droprate. o.o

Or fewer people are identifying the dyes they get as drops, because of the prices.

While I do find it amusing that people try to explain any price fluctuations with Anet actions, if you look at the core/t5 fine/ecto markets you will see prices have dropped this weekend due to extremely large supply consistent with massive numbers of people running Fractals and other dungeons.
