Anyways, if you’ve been paying attention to the market, the supply for armored scales rose dramatically but steadily over the last few days – about quadrupled in fact, resulting in the price falling to about half of what it was. Not sure about the others, Vicious claws had a huge plummet a few hours ago, but it seems that someone just dumped their entire stock during a slightly-lower-than-normal daily low which caused an hour-long chain reaction of subsequent dumps until they reached a bit above half-price. They are already starting to quickly rebound.
Give Charr armor some more love!
Let us show our spots, stripes, or lack-there-of in style.
yea, im on a cell phone so its a pain. anyways compaired to what it was to make exotics its just insane. thats all im trying to say last time i checked for a exotic crafted set and 1 exotic weapon i was looking at 20g if i bought the mats. where it used to be 11g to buy a box of exotic gear lol.
I have been seeing some bots around lately. Could be why mats are falling in price.
And you have to understand that our economy is expansive. The simple answer is the more money in the economy the more people will be willing to pay higher prices. Say for instance I have 77g now, I can afford higher prices. Where as a month ago I had a much meager sum of coins. I believe this is also the case for many players (not having 77g, but having more gold than before).
There’s also supply/demand and what the market reaches as an equilibrium price for various items.
More 80s and crafters means more buyers and sometimes a shortage of supply for the price to equilibrate itself to a lower price. Also, TP traders speculate on how much the price people will pay can cause a little inflation.

If demand for an item rises quickly (or the supply changes quickly which results in a rapid price increase) then the supply side will adjust as well but there is a lag time before people realize it.
Basically, if farmable items rise in price then people will notice it and start farming these items. This will cause the prices to drop and stabilize but it takes awhile before enough people realize that it becomes worth their while to farm.
I wouldn’t want ArenaNet to step in since the market should be as player driven as possible. Although, in Guild Wars 2 since there isn’t a constant destruction of gear, I’m not sure what the economic engine will be in the long term.
I’m thinking gold will just build up in the system unless I’m missing something.
Anyway, in this situation, just wait a few days and prices will stabilize.
