So whats up with Ecto’s? Suddenly after a few weeks of stagnating at 19-20s. They are on the move upwards. I just sold like 300 for 19.3s a few days ago so im kinda bummed out. Also I don’t know if i’ve had a particularly unlucky day but I feel like im also getting less ectos from salvage.

There is already a thread about this. Yesterday’s update broke rare salvaging so that instead of getting 0-3 ecto per rare you get 0-1 per rare. Whether the price bump is based on speculation or legitimate supply shock, time will tell. If they patch it today, time won’t tell.

Prices have dropped back into the 19 – 20s range. I think it’s safe to say it was a supply shock.

Ah, yes. What Zaxares was talking about was that the rise was not due to speculators driving up the price but due to the supply plummeting due to the salvage bug, therefore the term “supply shock” as in a sudden shortage drives up the price.

yeah I was pretty kitten ed when I got 10 ecto from 25 rares… granted ANET gave me 3 BLSK back in the mail, they didn’t give me the rares back.

makes me glad I’v been more of a sell it as is and get a sure 19-20 silver to buy 1 ecto rather then gamble and waste 10 only to get make 1 drop 3 and 2-3 drop one for 6/10 lose
