Will you finally fix this “Error attempting to sale” that pops up every time I try to sell items on the TP. I buy items and hold on to them until they are worth selling, however this error makes it impossible to flip items at times. Please and thank you very much.

It’s not going to get “fixed” since it’s working as intended. It prevents bots from going crazy on the TP.

Do note, it’s not actually an error. It simply occurs when you try to list more than 5 different listings in the same minute, if I recall correctly. It might be slightly different than that, but that’s around where it is.

Note: By 5 different listings, this can be 5 postings of items, or 5 postings of bids, or any combination of the two.

It’s not a bot stopper. Geez. Trading bots have the advantage of being relentless, they don’t have to be fast.

It’s either a legitimate time out from the DB or a limiter put on so everyone has equal use of the TP in terms of volume of transactions per minute or a limiter put on so at peak use the TP doesn’t collapse under the strain of worst case usage.

It’s the limiter, not a time-out. Your TP session key is generated upon login, iirc, and maintained until the connection to the server is lost. One of the reasons why GW2 has a hard time reconnecting players unless it’s simply a slow connection versus an interrupt, no matter how small.

About 4 months ago a developer confirmed this “error” is a bug during a short Q&A about a big update. It was all over reddit at the time.
