The other limited exotic minis are around 50-70g since they are not available anymore. What are your expectations about the new mini for the future? Same price or is the market for minis kinda slow?

Im thinking on stocking on them while they are still (way) under 20g.

It seems very misplaced at 5-6g but like the other limited exotic mini’s it will most likely stay low for quite some time and over the months rise higher and higher.

I picked one up just for myself and was pleasantly surprised at the five-ish price tag. The colors match my Mesmer, or at least come closer than anything else I’ve seen.

Yes but how many well players be able to farm before southsun living story is done an no more end up dropping? How easy is it to get? An how strong is the demand? Im not sure what mini’s to invest into right now (Faren, Kasmeer, Reef Rider) so im investing alittle into all 3.

Well.. its considerably easier to get than the other ones which were rng box purchases and these are gotten through absurdly easy southsun events… these will stay low for a long time… i don’t see them coming near the other’s price.

I think at some point, if the price stays low, someone will buy them up and re-list them at a higher price, and they’ll just sit there.

Just keep in mind guys – over time there will most likely be more ‘cute’ mini’s and a larger variety. So while the supply of these mini’ will definitely be low (due to it being time-limited), the lack of demand will drive the price down.

yeah this seems like a very badly designed reward. you have an exotic mini that has a much lower supply than the fine ones (barbie and ken). reminds me some of gw1 minis rarity… like the pig, which costed like 1k each because there was huge supply while some purples like naga, yeti and oni were way more valuable than most of the green/gold.

I never even wanted a minipet untill i saw mini kesmeer. Yes, she will be mine. The rest seem rather pointless honestly. I think barbie has the most potential because he is hot and there is nothing else i’d rather be looking at while i play. With most players being guys, i’m sure some have the same idea. I just hope she doesn’t distract me to much and get me killed.

Yep, if you want to invest on something you should invest on Kasmeer.
Even if the reef rider is only available for one week or so, its drop rate is ridiculously high, and given the fact SSC is a farm fest presently there should be a sufficient supply to match the demand for a while. Especially because I don’t see the demand for a reef rider being very high, Kasmeer on the other hand…

If they release mini pet battle (in Lion arch) or something similar, it would be a different story

I got Kasmeer on the first day and was tempted to sell it at 40g. But guildy told me to wait and now it’s been hovering 20g. I hope once this is all done and a few months down the line it’ll be over 60

I got a reef rider last night was tempted to sell it , as it was only worth 3g i thought i would just sit on it for a while and see what happens , Im not into mini’s

very strange what happens here..
what the hell is arenanet thinking? people from my guild get up to 10 (!!!) reef riders a day. WHAT THE HELL?! … they will be about 50g, wenn SAB skins will rise again.. maybe christmas? :p
bought one for 40g, never did it before but how the hell could we know that it drops that often.. whatever, nvm. but 3g is very silly. i cant understand that stupid people “hehe, got 10 reef riders. i like it, 30g ^.^”

Another point is that someone bought the last karka hatchlings and pushed it up to 300g/each.
Pure TP fail, because i looked them up and TP said supply 40, not 4, lol, for my loose..that stupid tp …
