Q:
Foefire's essence - a simple question
A:
so i have more than 100g profit if i sell it at 600g? this sounds good as i farm skill points easily with an alt and make ac tokens with the main. a 30~ golds listing fee isnt a problem.
if its correct (be patient if i misunderstood), im still wondering why a player would buy the gs at 600 when he can easily craft it. this is my main doubt, if you tell me that there are those players ill have all my ideas cleared.
I have no definitive answer but from browsing the forum I can tell you that there are people who think leveling is slow/difficult so 50 skill points could seem like a lot. Then there are the people who do not like dungeons or maybe they just don’t like AC in particular. If both of the above happens to apply for the same person then buying might be easier.
Edit: 600g was the lowest sell price before but its now 578g. Highest buy order is 420g … that person obviously had enough to buy all the ingredients and still have money leftover.

TL;DR Don’t do this unless you would be okay with potentially losing a minimum of 23g.
There is no way to tell. That feature was planned but got removed during the beta. I don’t think it was every implemented even in the beta.
Looking at current prices. If you just bought everything right now without using buy orders and assuming you consider 50 skill points and 500 Ascalonian Tears to be worth 0c then the prices are.
589×250 Ori Ingot
147×250 cured Hardened Leather
31500×100 Charged Lodestone
1085×70 Mystic Coin
1970×250 Ori greatsword blade
Cost of ingriendients 390g 24s 50c
%Profit | Sell Price |
---|---|
0 | 459g 11s 18c |
1 | 463g 70s 29c |
5 | 482g 06s 74c |
10 | 505g 02s 29c |
15 | 527g 97s 85c |
20 | 550g 93s 41c |
25 | 573g 88s 98c |
30 | 596g 84s 53c |
35 | 619g 80s 09c |
The listing fees for the above range from around 23g to 31g. What this means is that even if you sold it at cost(again assuming you think skill points and Ascalonian Tears are worthless) you STILL need to prepare for a lost of around 23g.
And considering that I value skill points at somewhere around 10s each, I probably wouldn’t sell for less than about 480g (using Khisanth’s math, because I’m lazy). That’s a 24g listing fee.
