anyone recessive wining mail yet ? im wondering since i put around 170 tickets it and just wondering it i should be mad or not

170 isn’t a lot considering how many players there are around, so I wouldn’t get mad if you don’t get one.

Depends what you consider a “lot”. During Halloween I played at least 200 PvP matches and I earn’t around 20.

Even if 20 tickets was average (I doubt it’s that low though since I got at least 200 just doing the daily stuff in PvE and some people farmed that) 170 isn’t going to be a lot just from the sheer number of people that play this game. The chances are going to be against the OP getting anything.

It would be better to not expect it and then just have it as a happy thing instead of somehow thinking that you deserve it and being disappointmed/angry if it doesn’t.

i wouldn’t be suprised if this ticket trash was just based off of unassigned RNG like the mystic toilet. ..joy…

Regardless of who gets them I hope it actually serves it’s perpose and circulates more of these skins in the market bring the prices down a bit.

rough estimates say about 4 million wrappers were turned in. (Anet said something like 134 million ToT bags had dropped = 2.8 million wrappers, then add a few more for gem store and personal ToT bags, and a few more days)
that means that every wrapper has a 1 in 4,000 chance of winning.
20 would have a 1 in 200 chance of winning a skin
170 would have a 1 in 23.5 chance of winning a skin
some guy on reddit claims to have opened over a million ToT bags, which would give about 21,000 wrappers. If that’s the case, he can expect to get about 5.25 skins.

Just like the lotteries in real life, a person who turned in one wrapper could get a skin just as easily as someone who turned in 5000.

so no one knows if skins have been distributed

For all we know, the raffle was never meant to ever happen and turning in the wrappers did nothing.

I guarantee you, there will be many winners by players who only turned in single-digit amounts of wrappers. If you take 100,000 players who turn 1 wrapper each, that is more chances to win than one player who turns in 21,000 wrappers.
at the GW2 1-year birthday, they released some numbers that said 3.5 million games sold and 460,000+ players online at one time. If 4 million wrappers were spread evenly over those 460,000 players, that’s 8.7 wrappers each. Since some people have 21,000 wrappers, that means a lot must have 0-3.

judging from the supply of ghastly grinning shield skins on the TP, I would say none of those prizes have been given out yet.

I think I got one. I received a chainsaw skin in the mail from ANet. The thing is though, it didn’t come labeled “hey, you won a raffle, congrats,” it came in a mail that said like " this message has a replacement item for you," as if I’d reported a missing item or something, which I had not. So I’m not sure if it was like a misunderstanding, or if that’s just the method they have for delivering free items directly to players.

Oh, and for the record, if this was what a win looks like, I turned in maybe 20-25 tickets or so. I didn’t keep exact count because I turned them in daily in batches of 3-5.

Someone I know got the shield. I saw the mail myself, so this is not hearsay.

Did it say like “here’s your skritt prize” or did it seem like a customer support response?
