• Fused Molten Sickle – 1000 gems
• Taimi’s Dye Kit (125 gems each, 5 for 500 gems, or 25 for 2500 gems)

Bah! I told myself I wouldn’t buy anymore unlimited tools at 1000 gems…except for more molten ones.

oh i hate those dye packs, not the exclusive colors but the fact that people will buy them and may not even get an exclusive color. tempted on the molten tools though

Are the new tools faster/as fast/slower then their old counter parts? Cause since they give no bonus (like watchwork pick), that would be their only bonus.

The Molten harvesting tools they just releases have horribly lame effects. Where is the molten lava welling up from below? The tree doesn’t even burst into flames, it just gets a puff of fire per whack? Why is there an obligatory phoenix thing completely unassociated with the molten alliance bursting forth from plants? These are lazy, and as much as I want to complete the set, I am not going to buy effects that look like garbage.

The only faster tools so far were the sickles and afaik the consortium sickle was the
fastest.

The new sickle however looks as if it could be as fast in the video, and its also the only
one i consider buying beside my consortium sickles.

The electro dyes look line “fine” dyes. Really shallow contrast. You’re better off buying similar cheap ones.

The logging one is okayish, though lackluster, but the sickle makes no sense and looks silly IMO. As much as I liked the Molten pick and thought of getting a set for an alt, I definitely won’t be going for those.

So I guess the Molten tools are the first complete harvesting set. Hmm. Wonder if that’s a one-time thing, or if they’re going to go and complete some of the other sets. Honestly, I’d kind of prefer if they just made them all separate rather than doing sets. Not that I’ll ever buy one anyway, but when I see other players use them I’d rather see a variety of effects and not just all fire all the time.

As for the effects themselves… the logging axe is meh. The sickle, I agree makes little to no sense, but at the same time I really like it regardless. Its just a neat effect, fitting or not. Probably my favorite sickle, though the Consortium one is a close second. They probably should have just made a Phoenix Sickle though, instead of a Molten one.

I’d say they’re also a point towards them NOT making sets the harvesting tools. The Molten Pickaxe made perfect sense because the Molten Alliance was all about mining, not to mention the effect itself made the most sense with the lava burst. Lava comes from the earth, minerals come from the earth, perfect fit. It just doesn’t work as well for trees or plants. Hence why there is no lava effect, but also why the effects are not as good as the pickaxe.

As for the dyes… meh. I’m not impressed. Most of them seem pretty similar to existing dyes, just slightly more pastel / bright. And unlike, say, the Enameled dyes which had some interesting contrasts and effects on various armors even though the base colors themselves were somewhat similar, these just look to be standard dyes. I won’t be picking any of these up.

Also, the dyes are an insult to me. How dare they have my name and yet be so lackluster, they should be awesome.

So .. can anyone give an info about the speed of the sickle .. is it as fast as consortium or slower ?

I’d like to know about the speed too. If it’s as fast as the consortium one I will get it. But if it’s slower I’ll just wait for a re-release of the consortium one.

It seems as fast in the video, but dulfy is slacking a bit (she doesn’t instantly move after the animation), wich leaves a small chances, that it has more after cast as the consortium sickle, but to be honest I doubt it. It should be as fast since it shares animation.

Speed is very fast on the sickle; 1/2 – 3/4 of a second from start of harvesting until the crop is placed into your inventory. Much faster than any other sickle I’ve seen. You get the goods halfway through the swipe animation, so no need to wait for the entire thing as you can run away mid-animation and have the goods.

Logging axe seems to take longer than normal, but it’s just a delay at the start while you “whip out your axe” before the first chop. Though I think the time between chop 2 and 3 is slightly faster, so it works out to the same as other axes in total harvesting time.

The Molten Sickle is about the same speed as the Consortium Sickle (that is, it’s about 1/4 of a second faster than the other sickles). It also has a really nice animation IMO, but without a unique bonus like the Watchwork Pick, I’m not going to buy it. (The Watchwork Pick really has upped the game as far as gem store tools go.)

Molten Logging Axe is pretty meh, but all the same, I’m glad that someone who wants to go with “all fire tools” now has the option of doing so.

i can use 1 or 2 more fast sickles .. have “only” 7 consortium so far

Ok … i like the new sickle and bought 2 of them

I just got the fused sickle and compared it to the consortium one. It feels like it’s exactly the same speed (it’s the exact same animation too). But they’re both faster than a regular Orichalcum sickle (obviously).

Yeah .. the consortium sickle first had the normal animation but it had some bugs,
then it got fixed 2 times .. and after the second fix it got those new faster animation.

I really love the speed .. especially when farming lemongrass between these raptors
since you don’t have to kill them with a fast sickle ^^

I just notice some minutes ago, that this “new” tools are account bounded instead of soul bounded as the old ones.

This is just for this tools selling atm? Because all my older tools still are soul bounded!!
Any one knows why this change just in this ones!?

All tools have been account bound for a long while now. You can exchange soul bound ones for account bound ones and when that first happened you could get a refund.

To convert your old soulbound infinite tools to account bound versions:

• Unequip the tool to your inventory
• Speak with a Black Lion Weapon Specialist near TP NPCs in cities
• Select to convert it to the account bound version for free

In case people here have missed the other thread, the Molten Pick is now also for sale on the gem store, if you feel like having the full Molten tool collection.
