Guild Wars 2

Is it me or is there more updates about the Gem store than what’s going on or upcoming in the game? Its starting to feel like this game was just made so that Anet could create there own little store. Why can we come out with new costumes, skins and all this other stuff that you have to pay for from the store but we can’t come up with much needed fix’s for the game?
I would love to see less gem store news when I open the guild wars 2 app and more info on what the developers team is working on or ideas they have for the future. An article about all the things they have had to do to balance the game or implement to stop hackers/cheaters would be better than seeing (Weekend Sale!!) every other week.

It’s just a little sale they have going on for the new year it’s not the end of the world.

Well, I just went through the announcements for November and counted what was what. Three announcements about the Gem Store’s offerings, and eleven announcements about the game and/or game-related activities.

For December, it’s 9 game announcements, 5 Gem store announcements and 1 that could be considered either/both. I would expect more emphasis on the Gem Store in December, anyway, as it is a high sales-generating month, usually, because of the Holidays.

I would imagine we would find similar information for the other months.

I’m sure ArenaNet is very sorry for having offended you by attempting to fund the vast enterprise that keeps this game running and growing without a subscription fee. They have certainly realized the error of having to gall to offer you things you might want in exchange for money. After all, they’re just a few hundred talented artists and technicians working full time to maintain a AAA title; they don’t really deserve to pay off the student loans that got them there.

You missed my point. Think of it like this. When you pick up a magazine. You usually pick it up because the cover on the front had something that interested you correct? would probably help sale gem items more than constantly placing item sale ads.
