I love the new Braham Heavy Armor Skin and would like to buy it, but if I read the description right it seems as tho its a “one time use” item.

Being newly 80, I’m sure I will get better armor eventually and I’d hate to think that the skin I just spent $10 on, can only be used once.

Please tell me I’m wrong. Please tell me I can reuse this skin again when I get armor.

its a one time use but you can use Transmutation Crystals to apply that skin on another armor part. just remember though that the old armor will be destroyed.

It also means if you get dungeon armor or racial armor or any other armor and you want to use the new skin you will have a choice of losing it or carrying it in inventory for whenever you want to switch looks.

But that goes with any armor in this game. Lose it or carry it around.

It’s kind of stupid that they don’t put them with the rest of the skins in Hero’s panel especially since you payed for them. I think all skins should be able to be deposited there and be reused multiple times.

It’s completely intentional. They decided not to make “costumes” infinite use as they did in GW1. The plus for the company is that you may or may not be inclined to buy more than 1 of the same costume to use it on multiple characters. Even if you only wanted 1 set, you can simply move that “look” around by purchasing Transmutation stones. It all fits into the level of microtransaction model they wanted. The benefit to you is that you can move, mix and match literally any armor set and look you want onto the stats you want with the Transmutation stones. Now that you know this benefit costs money, it’s up to you as a consumer to make an informed choice. Anet has already made the move to this sort of business model, you can certainly try to convince them that it’s not working for you but I doubt it will be enough to get them to backpedal. I’d be curious to hear an argument that could.

Thank you for that. I think I understand. So basically I use the skin on some armor i like, make sure i never throw that armor out and then i can transmute as much as i like?

Even if transmutation wasn’t the case , how else would they fund all this awesome content we recieve haha!

It makes them more money to do it like this and that’s all they care about, the same as any other company.
